Cucumber for Clear Complexion

Did you know that cucumber is often referred to as a superfood?

This superveg is a great source of B vitamins and is a good snack to eat for a quick pick me-up. Compromising mostly of water, cucumber is a great food source to help keep you hydrated while helping the body eliminate toxins.

Do not discard the peel (unless it is not organic) as it is bursting with vital minerals, phytochemicals and fibre. The high fibre and high water content of cucumbers is what makes them beneficial to support a healthy digestive system. Rich in the mineral Silica, they are also responsible for promoting a healthy skin complexion.

Cucumbers are one of our favourite vegetables for “Green Smoothies”. They are the perfect vegetable to use in kids smoothies because they’re extremely mild flavoured making them ideal for sneaking in to supercharge the nutrient density of any smoothie you are preparing!
