Healthy Habits, Not Restrictions

Improving health and wellbeing permanently is a ‘way of living’ not a ‘diet’. The small changes we make every time we open the fridge or cupboard door has a more positive impact on our health than any changes brought on by a short-term diet.

It is from these small consistent changes that we make new ‘habits’ that are highly beneficial to our bodies and ensure we live longer, healthier, and disease free lives.

Motivation and willpower are like two muscles that you must exercise and strengthen daily. The more practice we have at making healthy food choices the quicker ‘healthy‘ becomes our norm.

Some daily tips to keep in mind:

  • Eat regular, small meals. Enjoy new foods and increase variety and colour in each meal.
  • Get moving! Exercising in the fresh air is easier to get motivated for.
  • Stay hydrated.  Thirst is often mistaken for hunger.
  • Make time to unwind and de-stress.
  • claire_gradyAim to achieve, an average of 6 to 8 hours of restorative sleep each night.
