Preface to workbook

This book is primarily designed as a reference book for students. It represents only a broad overview of Chinese Medicine and is in no way complete. The information can only be used as part of a formal training in Chinese Medicine, and can not be properly understood or used in isolation from this.

The book is a synthesis distilled from many sources including books, published papers, mentors and fellow practitioners. However, it mostly stems from my own first-hand observations over more than ten years of clinical practice and lecturing. Over this time I have seen the profound changes Chinese medicine can bring to people’s lives. I hope that students can use this knowledge to help their patients too.

Henry McGrath, College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), Bristol, 2007.
